prototypes | storyboards

The final project asks you to develop representations of a somewhat large collection. This involves developing content, ontological structure, instantiated metadata, and dynamic navigation. You are working on approaching and solving the large collections problem. In this assignment, the solution you are developing begins to take form, and come to life.

interactive map prototypes

Take one node--screen--presentation-point's worth of dynamic navigation, that is one vantage in your dynamic map. Provide a *working* interactive prototype of this node. How will you present the material? How will the user interact?

What is dynamic about the navigation? How will we shift from one node to the next? How will it look and feel?

Utilize layering, grid structures, color theory, affordances, and focus+context visualization techniques, as you provide structured access to the interactive information of your collection. The ontology becomes the underlying basis, as well as a set of attributes that need to be presented with clarity and legibility. This is challenging!

storyboards

The assignment asked you to develop a few new nodes. What do they say? What do they look like? How do they connect to and describe your dynamic ontology maps? How do they work with your collection? Provide a storyboard for each new node.
